Description

Yamdrok Lake, the turquoise earring that a goddess scattered before the eyes of the Tibetans. The peak you see to our west titles the photo and is the highest peak of Lhagoi Kangri mountain range, between the Yarlung Tsangpo River (central to the Tibetan civilization, to the north), Yamdrok and the Himalayas (to the south).

In 1986 Noijinkangsang was finally climbed via the South Face and Southwest Ridge by a Chinese expedition.
